The Enemy Among Us: The Islamic Thinkers Society of NY

The Islamic Thinkers Society are part of a vangaurd of fifth columnists who are enemies of the United States of America. While they may disclaim the methods which Osama bin Laden uses, they do not disclaim his goals. The group wishes to install Taliban like government in all Muslim countries unified under a single Caliphate. Eventually the group wishes to see a global Caliphate replacing the nation-state system.

We have documented the anti-American and pro-jihadi activities of The Islamic Thinkers Society over the past year. For instance, in April they were seen on the streets of New York with signs saying or depicting (as described by Kristine Withers):

US the real terrorist, oppose the war on terror, God hates the US because they have Homosexuals, restoration of the Caliphate, pictures of Abu Gharab, 9/11 pictures saying it was justified, etc.

They were telling me how wicked America and I was. A
member of the group was also telling me, "we will kill you", and "next time we will get all of NYC".

A video of the group shouting anti-American slogans, calling on Muslims to oppose the U.S., and desecrating the American flag can be found in this post which describes the event. In the same video members of the Islamic Thinkers Society shout:
Oh Muslims! Do you know your enemy? Isn't it obvious?...

The so-called terrorists are the only people who truly fear Allah. ... They are the only worthy causes, and the mighty superpower only fears them

The group, then, is fairly open about their support of enemies of the United States during a time of war.

Now the group is claiming there is an organized smear campaign out to distort their peaceful message and give Islam a bad name.

But even as they attempt a propaganda campaign out to rehabilitate their name, they reveal the truly evil nature of their goals.

From their website, with commentary in brackets:

Our objective is to resume the Islamic way of life to which will fulfill the purpose of the aim. Our objective is to bring back the apparatus that was destroyed in 1924 i.e. Khilafah [ie, Caliphate which united Sunni Muslims until the end of the Ottoman empire]. Indeed it was the Khilafah that united the Muslim Ummah under one flag, one land, one border, and one leader [This, of course, is not true since Shia Muslims did not recognize the same succession of Caliphs as did Sunnis]. It was the Khilafah which served as the appartus to make sure that Tawheed ['unification', used here to indicate the oneness of faith in the umma, or Islamic nation, under a single religious head] manifested in all ascpect [sic] in the Muslim Ummah's affairs. Surely, anyone who accepts any other system than Allah's Shari'ah is worshipping the one who has put his laws in place of the laws of Allah [in other words, democratic lawmaking with it's assumption that power derives from the people is un-Islamic]. This is a major form of shirk and anyone who commits a major shirk has left Islam. [Remember, the maximum penalty for leaving Islam is death. Therefore, any Muslim who advocates Western style liberal democracy is a heretic, according to the Islamic Thinkers Society. This is essentially the same argument used by Osama bin Laden in his justification for attacking states like Saudi Arabia. It is exactly the same arguement used by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi when he attacks the Iraqi government. It is exactly the same argument used when Ansar al-Sunnah beheads Turkish truck drivers. They are heretics and deserve death.].....

Having given these few evidences, is just to show the importance of having an Islamic State where it will serve as the mechanism to protect & nurture the Muslim Ummah with the correct understanding as well as the correct practicality of Tawheed. [Like most utopians, Salafists like the Islamic Thinkers Society believe that with the renewing of the Caliphate and the subjegation of the Islamic world to a single authority, the Caliph, will usher in a golden age. Like the Communist utopians before them, though, such a state would obviously be horribly oppressive.] This all goes towards purifying Tawheed as well as fulfilling the aim of every Muslim which is to do ibadat to Allah s.w.t. This is what we, as part of Islamic Thinkers Society strive for. To create the ideal Islamic society, where the furqan(criterion) for the individuals as well as the rulers will be the Qur'an & Sunnah [sayings of the Prophet] and the Qur'an & Sunnah only [that is to say, not only are individuals required to follow Islam as a form of personal adherence to righteousness, in the way that other religious people might, but legal authority must be derived from the Quran as well. eg, all forms of government other than Taliban like states based on Islamic Law are illegitimate] . As always, our struggle is intellectual & political. [First, they disclaim violence...but then....] To us, this is a matter of life & death. A matter of jannah [paradise, eg, heaven] & jahannam [hell-eg, those opposed to the Salafist paradigm are heretics and going to hell]. It requires seriousness, dedication, & sabr [uncomplaining dedication].

While the Islamic Thinkers Society may claim they are a peaceful organization, one cannot adhere to their belief system and come to any other conclusion then that reached by Osama bin Laden. We are at war with the comrades of The Islamic Thinkers Society. I hope their activities are being closely monitored by the FBI.

Fatwas, Fatwas Everywhere and Not a One For Me! (Religion of Peace Update)

Durbin_Shrek.jpg

There was an election in Iran yesterday, or what passes for an election in a country that proclaims my toilet paper (the Quran) to be the highest law of the land. Persians were asked to vote either for hard line Mullahs who want severe oppression or moderate Mullahs who only want a moderate amount of oppression. Either way, the fatwas are to keep on a rolling against every one and everything (but me!). What type of drugs do you have to be on to describe Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani as a reformist or a moderate when the guy supports terrorism and a Jew free Middle East?

Oh, and check this out from Will Franklin who almost gets himself arrested for attempting to report on the Iranian elections in Houston. Yes, a nation that we have no formal diplomatic ties to and which is a state sponsor of terrorism was allowed to run polling places on U.S. soil. Gateway Pundit reports on a polling station in St. Louis and Publius Pundit from another location.

Check out what the grandson of Ayatollah Khomeini says to Christopher Hitchens:

I stand," he tells me calmly, "for the complete separation of religion and the state." In terms that would make the heart of a neocon soar like a hawk, he goes on to praise President Bush's State of the Union speech, to warn that the mullahs cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons, and to use the term "Free World" without irony: "Only the Free World, led by America, can bring democracy to Iran."

Zawahiri crawls out of his cave to announce to the world his NAMBLA membership will be renewed.

The Taliban didn't get that memo from Howard Dean in which they directed to lay down their arms and give us no more problems since the U.N. approved that invasion and is in charge of rebuilding there. Yup, their still at it and have taken 18 police hostage.

The lunatics in the Arab world are at it again: Zarqawi is an American agent.

Hi, I'm Bono and I didn't know all that Muslims took that stoning shit seriously.

KG over at the California Mafia notices that one of the men arrested in the Lodi al Qaeda ring was seen at a 9/11 peace service. Not strange at all if one knows about the Islamic practice of taqiyah, or permissible lying. It also could be explained by the fact that many radical Muslims do believe in world peace and unity. Remember Darth Vader's dreams were of peace and order for the galaxy--which could only be insured by a heavy handed tyranny. So to many MUslims believe that once Islam dominates the world then love, peace, and joy. The utopian caliphate is the long-term strategic goal of al Qaeda and other Salafist groups.

And would it shock you to find out that the head of The Islamic Center of El Paso was taken into custody for an 'administrative immigration violations'?? Remember, 'lying about belonging to a terrorist organization' is not the same as 'belonging to a terrorist organization'......

In Yemen 11 al Qaeda terrorists were just sprung by an appeals court. This is the place where the USS Cole was attacked and is an 'ally' in the GWOT.

Two jihadis in Michigan to be sentenced and a grad student at The University of Arkansas arrested for his plans to do exactly what Edward Said, Noam Chomsky, and a majority of his professor's rhetoric (if believed) compelled him to do--become a Jew killing terrorist.

Cassandra, over at Villainous Company, has decided that terror is not the enemy, but ignorance, and has put the MSM in the crosshairs.

John from Crossroads of Arabia notes that some in Saudi Arabia are looking to Iraq as a success story.

The guys over at Move America Forward have started an I Heart Gitmo campaign. I love it. Slap that bumper sticker on and where this t-shirt to your next poli sci class....

Alien NYC Girl, 16, Forced to Leave U.S.

(Queens, New York) Updating a story from April when two 16-year-old illegal alien girls were arrested for terrorism and immigration concerns and held for several weeks. One of the girls, Tashnuba Hayder, was forced to return to her native country of Bangladesh after the FBI discovered she visited "an Internet chat room where she took notes on sermons by a charismatic Islamic cleric in London, a sheik who has long been accused of encouraging suicide bombings."

Apparently, the other 16-year-old girl, name withheld, was not considered to be a potential threat and, although she is also an illegal alien, she was released from custody and allowed to go home to Queens. Go figure.

Do You Think I Might Have Said Something That Resonated?

Whoa! Just took ten minutes to check in on the blogosphere today, really busy with the family, and lo and behold the damn that was the pent up anger at the Leftosphere's moral equivocation has burst.

Big thanks for the resounding show of support.

64 Trackbacks went through. I actually had so many trackbacks that our system thought we were getting spammed and shut the trackback function down several times. Dozens of other links with no trackbacks, including Glenn Reynolds, Hugh Hewitt, Roger L. Simon and Andrew Sullivan......thanks for forwarding the post to the bigwhigs folks!

trackbacks_kos.jpg

Technorati lists the post as the third most cited on the blogosphere today.....

technorati_kos.jpg

TTLB lists the post as the most cited in the blogosphere today......

ttlb_kos.jpg

Two lessons to be learned from this. First, a lot of people are fed up with the Left's comparisons of the U.S. to genocidal regimes and are outraged at their moral equivocation.

Second, even though the Llama Butchers mounted Wonkette first, it took a Jawa to make Kos the bitch.

Hot Topic: Jeb Bush continues to investigate Schiavo case

Rusty, I hope you don't mind my posting on this...

h/t World Magazine Blog.

Via AOL news, we learn that Jeb Bush has gotten a prosecutor to investigate the causes behind Terri Schiavo's collapse 15 years ago.

Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday that a prosecutor has agreed to investigate why Terri Schiavo collapsed 15 years ago, citing an alleged time gap between when her husband found her and when he called 911.

Bush said his request for the probe was not meant to suggest wrongdoing by Michael Schiavo.

''It's a significant question that during this ordeal was never brought up,'' Bush told reporters.

Michael Schiavo's attorney has said his client called for help right away.

In a letter faxed to Pinellas-Pasco County State Attorney Bernie McCabe, the governor said Michael Schiavo testified in a 1992 medical malpractice trial that he found his wife collapsed at 5 a.m. on Feb. 25, 1990, and he said in a 2003 television interview that he found her about 4:30 a.m. He called 911 at 5:40 a.m.

Yeah, I'd say that's a disparity. Wouldn't you call 911 right away if you found your wife collapsed at that late hour? And why wasn't she in bed with him where she belonged?

Many questions still remain unanswered about this case, in my opinion. It'll be interesting to see what this prosecutor finds.

For the record, though, I'd also like to say that if this isn't an attempt on Jeb Bush's part to curry favor with the evangelical voters, I don't know what is. Too bad he didn't think of this before Terri died.

The Naive Fox

By Demosophist

The Glittering Eye made the following comment about my distributed post comparing Wretchard's contention that we're approaching a "Hansell-Lemay moment," with Larry Johnson's contention that we're approaching a "looming debacle:"

I think the most important implied point in AR's post [I cross-post to AR as well as the Jawa Report] is the need for the political leadership here to shore up morale and public opinion. This is an area in which the Bush Administration has been consistently weak.

Sexy Teacher Debra Lafave Offered Plea Deal

(Tampa, Florida) According to attorney John Fitzgibbons, former teacher and sex kitten Debra Lafave, 24, has been offered a plea deal by the prosecution that would resolve the court cases in both Hillsborough and Marion Counties.

Lafave (photo) and her attorney appeared in court Thursday morning to discuss the possible plea agreement. The state's psychological evaluation of Lafave was given to Fitzgibbons and will be reviewed prior to deciding on whether to accept the offer. It's believed that Lafave may be facing some serious jail time even though she claimed to be insane when she committed the sex crimes with the 14-year-old boy.

Last November, Lafave pleaded not guilty to four counts of lewd and lascivious battery and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition. Each carries a possible 15-year prison term. Ouch! Another hearing has been scheduled for July 18.

Bob Not Smilling Any More: States Sue Enzyte Makers

enzyte _bob.jpgThere goes my last chance of happiness! Not that I know what Enzyte is....er...I'm not even sure what it's for....I'm telling you, those aren't my 'natural male enhancement' pills....that's not my bag, baby....

Star Telegram:

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott joined five other states Wednesday in suing Steve Warshak, an Ohio businessman who owns a collection of dietary supplement and drug companies. Abbott's suit, filed in state District Court in Dallas, alleges fraudulent advertising and deceptive billing practices.

One of Warshak's supplements is Enzyte, advertised as "the once-a-day tablet for natural male enhancement." The ads feature a blissful Bob, smiling in gratitude to Enzyte.....

Warshak's ads resemble pharmaceutical ads, but the attorney general's office said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved any of the products.

"This guy is making a lot of money off of claims that are simply untrue," said Tom Kelley, a spokesman for Abbott....

No, ya really think it's a scam?

And here should have been clue #1. You know that little Latin phrase in the commercials they run in small print and in parenthesis? It says suffragium asotas. It's just a gimmick to make it look legit, like it's a real drug. It's not. Actually suffragium asotas simply means enhanced sexuality and it's not even proper Latin.

I guess it's back to the old pump....

Two in Lodi al Qaeda Plot Indicted

What's wrong with this picture? When WWII was declared the overwhelming response of the German community was to condemn en masse the Nazi front of the German Bund. Even though Japanese Americans were treated far more poorly than the Germans, the response from that community was to enlist in the Army in an effort to prove their loyalty to the nation and ease the oversuspicious among us.

How does the Muslim community respond to any and every indictment against suspected terrorists? By screaming intimidation and ethnic profiling.

Via the California Mafia we learn that two indictments have been handed down in the Lodi al Qaeda ring and how the Muslim community responds to finding out about the traitors living among them. Sacramento Bee (subscription):

Two Lodi men accused by the government of connections to terrorist training in Pakistan were indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in Sacramento.
Humid Hayat is charged with two counts of making a false statement to FBI agents, and his father, Umer Hayat, is charged with one count of making a false statement to FBI agents.

The indictment says Hamid Hayat was lying when he denied being with any type of terrorist organization and denied attending any type of terrorist training camp.

The indictment says Umer Hayat was lying when he denied having any first-hand knowledge of terrorist training camps in Pakistan.

Of course, if you've seen the Hayets' lawyer on TV he is quick to remind you that his clients were not indicted on terrorism charges, but on charges of lying. Which is technically true if not utter nonsense and sophistry since they are charged with lying about their ties to terrorism. I have yet to hear a reporter challenge their lawyer on this.

And which two groups are filing the complaint? Come on....do I really have to even say?

Also on Thursday, a coalition of Muslim civil rights groups and other organizations announced they were filing complaints of "intimidating tactics" against the FBI along with a formal request for records of its investigation into possible terrorist connections in Lodi....

The tactics involve denial of medical treatment, threats of arrest or deportation to coerce people, and denied access to legal representation, said Basim Elkarra of the Council on American-Islamic Relations of Sacramento Valley.

"This must be done in the way that respects people's rights," said Mark Schlosberg of the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California.

I've so had it with the Gitmo argument

If you haven't figured it out already, I'm a bit pissed today. Has the Left completely gone insane? Have the forgotten the kind of people we are fighting?

Perhaps we have made some mistakes along the way in our fight against nihilistic Islamofascists, but so the f*ck what? It's like the words of Jesus turned upside down. These asswipes are so focused on the microscopic motes in our own eyes that they ignore the 30 foot beam sticking out of our enemies'.

It's as if 9/11 never happened, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi never sawed anybody's head off, and Saddam Hussein was just your every day run-of-the mill dictator that the U.S. hadn't been at war with for 11 years.

I've had it.

Please see this post by Ace on why the prisoners at Gitmo aren't criminals and shouldn't be treated as such.

Heroes

The heroes of Raven 42 all received medals for their heroic action in fighting off a contingent of Michael Moore's Minutemen as they attacked a civilian convoy in Western Iraq in March. You can read about their exploits here. The seven ten (thanks Barb) members of Raven 42 (three of whom were wounded), the MP unit guarding the convoy, who survived the initial attack by between 40-50 terrorists saved the convoy from sure extermination. If this is the same attack that was claimed by al Qaeda in March, the civilians and every one else would have been surely murdered. These soldiers killed 24 terrorists, wounded 6 more (two who later died), and captured one.

Way to go troops. America, f*ck yeah!

UPDATE: Citzcom reminds us that a woman of the 617th, noted above, was awarded a Silver Star for her valour. The first Silver Star given to a female soldier, ever.

Kos Says U.S. Torture 'Equal' To that of Saddam Hussein (A comparison)

Will somebody please punch Markos Moulitsas 'Kos' Zunigas in the mouth? I'm not kidding (although I may be speaking in haste and out of anger). Some remarks are so disgusting that they are fighting words. Kos hides behind the fact that he was in the military as if it gives him license to level any criticism he wishes on the armed services of the United States. Via my blogfather Charles Johnson over at LGF this from Markos Moulitsas Zunigas who has clearly gone beyond the pale:

The torture that was so bad under Saddam, is equally bad under U.S. command. And Dick Durbin had the balls to say it so on the Senate floor.
Will someone please grab Kos head, pull it out of his ass, and force him to please see below.

Almost all of the accusations of 'torture' are NOT REAL TORTURE. Instead, they are minor instances of harsh treatment--the kind of treatment you probably wouldn't want to be subjected to--but they aren't TORTURE.

There are some instances of abuse and perhaps even the occasional act of real torture, these, of course should be investigated. But to say that the occasional abuse is somehow equal to the institutionalized and routine torture of the Saddam Hussein regime is disgusting, immoral, and anti-American.

If even the worse accusations turn out to be true, which I do not believe for an instance they will be, they would be nothing compared to what Saddam Hussein routinely did and on hundreds of thousands of victims.

You, Kos, are a certifiable idiot whose blind partisanship is disgusting and unethical.

Warning: Graphic images follow.

Dick Durbin Compares My Brother to Adolf Eichmann (and should be censured)

I've said a lot of idiotic things in my life, but at least I usually have the class to apologize. As I've written an umpteen bajillion times, to make comparisons between [insert perceived problem here] and Communist and/or Nazi attrocities is immoral. First Dick Durbin makes this idiotic comparison (hat tip to dozens of readers and other bloggers, but I grabbed the quote from Frank J.):

If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime--Pol Pot or others--that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.
And what was so bad that we have to bring in the Nazi and gulag comparison?
On one occasion, the air conditioning had been turned down so far and the temperature was so cold in the room, that the barefooted detainee was shaking with cold. ..... On another occasion, the [air conditioner] had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees. The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his hair out throughout the night. On another occasion, not only was the temperature unbearably hot, but extremely loud rap music was being played in the room, and had been since the day before, with the detainee chained hand and foot in the fetal position on the tile floor.
Right. My brother, just like Adolf Eichmann, once gave me a super-atomic wedgie.

And one time my sadistic Scoutmaster, who would make Stalin's head of the KGB Lavrenti Beria blush, made us camp next to the Colorado River out by Needles, and it was like 100 degrees at night!

The only thing more morally inept then comparing what is happening at Guantanamo to the tens of millions of people killed in the gulags, is to not back down once you've been called on it.

Via Bill Quick this news that Dick the Dick Durbin won't back down from his disgusting comments:

CHICAGO Illinois Senator Dick Durbin says he won't apologize for comments comparing American interrogators at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to Nazis and Soviet gulags.

News of the Democrat's comparison created a buzz around the Internet today, fueled by sound bites of yesterday's Senate floor speech on radio talk shows. By this afternoon, Illinois Republican Party Chairman Andy McKenna asked Durbin to apologize.

Durbin says the Bush administration should apologize for abandoning the Geneva Conventions.

Had chief Dick of the U.S. Senate bothered to read the Geneva Conventions he would learn that enemy combatents caught without a uniform are not subject to the Conventions safeguards. This is why a major subplot in movies such as The Great Escape was that the escapee had to wear his uniform under his civilian clothes for fear of being shot as a spy. Get it? No uniform no Geneva Convention protection. As such, any terrorists caught are subject to summary execution. Anything short of summary execution is us simply being nice for its own sake!

Dick Durbin ought to be immediately censured by the U.S. Senate for his disgusting remarks. Any comparisons to the mass murders committed by the Soviet Communists is an insult to the memory of the tens of millions who died.

Paul says Durbin should resign:

Dick Durbin is ignorant of history, a complete jackass, and owes everyone in uniform an apology -- then he should resign.

Baldilocks agres Durbin should resign.

Mike over at Froggy Ruminations has the same idea, "I want DurbinÂ’s job, and I want it now."

UPDATE: Charles Johnson notes that Al Jazeera resoundingly approves of Durbin's remarks. An important note here is that the jihadis fight because they actually believe that the U.S. is no different than the Nazis. Durbin's idiotic words do not help in the war on terror. It's the kind of stuff the jihadi propogandists like to use, "See, even your Senator Durbin believes you are just as bad as the Nazis......" Nice going, jackass.

Religion of Peace Beheads Retired Buddhist Teacher

I have a friend who spent some time living as a missionary in Thailand. Whenever the subject of Southern Thailand came up, he would just say, "Oh, no, couldn't go there. They're Muslim." He couldn't even travel to that area for fear of life and limb. This was before there was any sort of organized Islamist rebellion from Southern Thailand. Among the Buddhist majority, though, he was perfectly safe. All religions are basically the same, huh?

BBC:

A Buddhist man has been found beheaded in the majority Muslim province of Pattani in southern Thailand.

A note found next to the man's head claimed the murder was carried out in response to last week's arrest of a prominent Muslim student leader.

It was the fifth decapitation in a conflict that has claimed more than 700 lives in the past 18 months.

The note next to the severed head of retired teacher Kamol Chuneth carried a message obviously intended for police.

The note said that the authorities had arrested the wrong man.

Al Qaeda Leader Captured in Mosul

Abu_Talha.jpg
A man described as a leader of al Qaeda in Iraq has been captured in Mosul. The image to the right is from Evan Kohlmann's organizational chart of al Qaeda in Iraq which can be found here. Abu Talha seems to have been al Qaeda's key man in the city of Mosul, long a strong hold for the terrorists. Notice that he was turned in by locals and that although he sent suicide bombers to their deaths he wasn't so brave himself. CNN:

The U.S. military on Thursday reported the capture of a man described as al Qaeda's leader in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

Air Force Brig. Gen. Donald Alston identified him as Abu Talha -- whose actual name is Muhammad Khalaf Shakar -- and said he was captured on Tuesday.

"Talha has been one of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's most trusted operations agents in Iraq," Alston said. "This is a major defeat for the al Qaeda organization in Iraq."

"Numerous reports indicated he wore a suicide vest 24 hours a day and stated that he would never surrender. Instead, Talha gave up without a fight," Alston said.

Talha surrendered to multinational forces in a quiet neighborhood in Mosul, Alston said, after information from Iraqi civilians contributed to his capture.

Civilians providing such information indicates they are taking steps against the "increasingly unpopular insurgency," he said.

The Jawa Report is NOT a Google News Source

A few newer readers may not know that for a few brief months The Jawa Report was a Google News Source. Why not now? We were kicked off for alleged 'hate speech' violations.

Since then a number of blogs have noticed a definite Left leaning bias in the way Google does it's business. For instance, dozens of terrorist supporting publications are listed as Google News sources, including The Electronic Intifada and worse-- such as Jihad Unspun.

Google also disclaims any bias in which political advertisors to reject and which to accept, which is clearly not the case.

Google, you guys are full of crap.

Sheikh Alhilali's Role in the Douglas Wood Rescue

We've been saying all along that the Grand Mufti of Australia is more than a little full of shit. Over and over we were promised by him that Douglas Wood's release was imminent and that it was all his doing. So when he comes out and claims it was he that got Douglas Wood released, excuse us for being a little skeptical. Mad Dog Vinnie notes about Taj Aldin Alhilali:

It's starting to seem as thought the mufti has been studying at the University of Al Sharpton, with a major in Jesse Jackson Publicity Stuntism. All in the name of making the Religion of Peace seem, well, peaceful, I bet.
Indeed. Check out the rest of this excellent fisking here.

What, Me Guilty? Mounties Nab al Qaeda Cache

Ok, every once and awhile you have to ignore our usual Blame Canada attitude and give our neighbors in the Great White North some credit where credit is due.

First this from The Toronto Star (via James Joyner):

The RCMP and Canadian military believe they've discovered a vital cache of information on Al Qaeda that includes the whereabouts of wanted members and details of attacks on coalition forces in Afghanistan.

The information is allegedly contained in a laptop, dozens of DVDs, audiocassettes and the pages of diaries, seized by the RCMP officers who met Zaynab Khadr at Pearson airport with a search warrant as she arrived back in Canada in February, court documents state.

Who is Zaynab Khadr? From The Toronto Free Press we learn that her family is good buddies with the bin Ladens. The bin Ladens throw the most fabulous dinner parties, dahling! Oh, and Osama just happened to show up at her wedding. How utterly inappropriate--he wasn't even dressed for the occasion:
Zaynab Khadr claims she didnÂ’t know that terrorist Osama bin Laden would attend her wedding in Pakistan....

"I mean we donÂ’t even write invitations for weddings," Khadr told the Toronto Star in a sympathetic interview shortly after her return to Canada. "We just say thereÂ’s a wedding and everybodyÂ’s invited and everybody passes it on."

And it was just a coincidence that she's been swapping Osama bin Laden MP3s for her iPod:
Now the 25-year-old says she didnÂ’t know clips of bin LadenÂ’s voice calling for the killing of Americans were on the laptop computer seized by the RCMP at Pearson airport when she returned to Canada last February.
Hey, who doesn't have the latest bin Laden podcast?

And check out what else is on her computer. I mean, is it possible that she somehow broke into my office and swapped out my C drive? Cause, it's like a freakish coincidence that we have all the same files on our computer:

Alleged to be among Khadr’s RCMP-confiscated possessions are downloaded clips of bin Laden’s voice and songs–one entitled "I Am a Terrorist". On the laptop is also a video clip of a 2003 attack on a compound used by Westerners in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and cassettes about insurgent attacks in Afghanistan. Canada, Khadr’s adopted country has troops stationed in Afghanistan.
Eeeerie.

Oh, and about all those innocent victims down there in Guantanomo. Yep, how could this not be an al Qaeda post without some sort of reference to Camp X-Ray?

When a chador-clad Khadr quietly slipped back into Toronto on February 17, 2005, she said she had returned to Canada to lobby for the rights of her two brothers, 18-year-old Omar, who is CanadaÂ’s only known detainee at Guatanamo Bay and her brother, Abdullah, whose whereabouts have been unknown since October, 2004.
So, we have a Canadian chick with ties to Osama bin Laden trying to help her terrorist brother get out of Guantanamo? Sounds innocent to me!

Oh, and it's not just her brother. It seems jihadism runs in the family:

Her father, the late Ahmed Said Khadr, officially identified as CanadaÂ’s highest-ranking member of Al Qaeda, was sprung from a Pakistani prison when former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien successfully intervened on his behalf through then Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto
Gotta love it when Canada intervenes on behalf of one of its fine outstanding citizens like that.

Oh, and just in case you want to e-mail Zaynab Khadr you can reach her at: zak79up@yahoo.ca

Zarqawi Linked Terrorists Arrested in Spain

Good news, some of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's buddies from back in the day when he was kicking it old school style with the Ansar al-Islam crew have been arrested in Spain. I'd say send them to Gitmo, but these guys might just be into Christina Aguilera. More here.
